Local Strategic Partnership (The Gosport Partnership)

Each local authority is required to establish a Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) for their area – bringing together all the agencies, organisations, businesses, voluntary and community groups working in, and for, the local community. In Gosport, this is called the Gosport Partnership and all those who commit to its principles (detailed in the Sustainable Community Strategy) are regarded as members of the Gosport Partnership.

The main objective of the Gosport Partnership is to set a common vision for Gosport and coordinate and drive delivery of local services, ensuring that by working together it improves the quality of life for the residents of Gosport.

Membership of the Gosport Partnership is open to any organisation, agency or group from the public, private, voluntary or community sectors that serve community needs within Gosport. The Partnership has seven subgroups which work towards achieving the vision set out in the Sustainable Community Strategy. Each individual subgroup will regulate its own membership but it is recognised that because of the interrelationship of these issues, members may well be represented on more than one.

Community Involvement:

There are many avenues for community involvement within the Gosport Partnership such as taking part in consultations, joining a subgroup or contacting us to give us your views and feedback on the work we are doing. The Partnership is particularly concerned to ensure that all parts of the community have the opportunity to contribute and express their views and particular needs.
